Harvesters - Great Results, Great Time
We had a great time at Harvesters this weekend! We had 15 Scouts and 16 adults turn out.
This year we packaged food goods for the elderly. Overall, we packed enough boxes to help 504 people and everyone had a great time. Thanks to those who came out.

Good news! The KU vs. K-State game isn't until Saturday evening so...please
join us at Harvesters on Sat., Jan. 30th from 9 am - noon to help sort food,
etc. If you haven't been before it is a great experience for everyone.

Webelos Camp - Session 5
We got session 5 in the Webelos Camp draw for this summer. Session 5 is July 11-13, 2010 and will be held at Camp Naish near Bonner Springs, KS.
Blue and Gold Update
Hello Scout Families,
Our Blue and Gold is just around the corner. It is on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at California Trail Junior High at 135th and Pflumm. It starts at 6pm.
We are doing something different this year with the food. Our committee decided to have a Pot Luck Chili Supper instead of charging families $10/per person for a banquet type meal. This will allow us to not charge anything for your entire family to come and enjoy the event.
So with that being said, we need all families to volunteer to bring one of three items. We need you to bring either 1. a crock pot full of your favorite chili 2. Two packages of hot dogs already cooked and wrapped in foil along with 2 packages of buns. or 3. a side salad of any kind.
We need 25-30 families to bring chili.
25 families to bring the hot dogs and buns and 12 families to bring a side salad of any kind.
Please email Kim Uhrich at kcu4@sbcglobal.net what item your family would like to bring.
The pack will provide: drinks, dessert, paper goods, utensils, condiments, and toppings for the chili like onions, cheese, and Frito's.

Bear Camp - Session 8
We got session 8 in the Bear Camp draw for this summer. Session 8 is July 16-17, 2010 and will be held at Camp Naish near Bonner Springs, KS.
Bear Camp is a great time for the boys. They get to camp overnight, swim at the pirate ship water park, shoot BB guns, do archery, play games and a whole lot more! Check out the pictures in our scrap book from previous years Bear Camps.
Shawn Beane is coordinating this years Bear Camp for us.
